 THE BERKSHIRES

The Berkshires are pretty magical, and we hope you get the chance to explore a bit while you’re out here. There’s plenty to do in and around Lenox, but the nearby towns of Great Barrington, Lee, and Stockbridge, as well as Williamstown and North Adams (a bit farther out!) have a ton to offer, too.

Below are a few of our favorite spots in the area. This weekend will be a busy one, so be sure to make dinner reservations or purchase museum tickets ahead of time where you can!

 

Eat

Alta: Delicious Mediterranean dinner spot, downtown Lenox

Bistro Zinc: Upscale French restaurant, downtown Lenox

Frankie’s: Great Italian, downtown Lenox

Betty’s Pizza Shack: Casual, beach-themed pizza shop

Prairie Whale: Super eclectic spot with awesome food in Great Barrington, if you feel like venturing out a bit

Guidos (Pittsfield): Awesome food market right in front of the Hilton Garden Inn

Red Lion Inn: A Berkshires classic in the heart of Stockbridge (there are a few other great spots nearby, too!)

Prime Lenox: Italian steakhouse and bar with a patio

 

Drink

Firefly: Amazing live music on Friday nights from 7-10

Brava: Tapas and good drinks with a cute patio

Olde Heritage Tavern: Classic pub in town, loved by locals

MoonCloud: Very cool cocktail bar with a lounge and patio in Great Barrington

Nejaime’s Wine Cellar: For a great wine selection (ideal for picking up a bottle for a picnic!)

The Ostrich Room: New bar inside the Apple Tree Inn with great cocktails

Coffee/Breakfast

Haven: Great breakfast / lunch / coffee spot in downtown Lenox (can get crowded)

Lenox Coffee: Good spot for quick coffee stop

Shots Cafe: Another coffee/bakery option right in town

 

Explore

Tanglewood: The grounds are beautiful, and well worth an extra trip to walk around!

Mass MoCA: A bit farther away but one of our favorite museums. Worth a couple hours of time for sure.

Chesterwood: Studio & garden used by the artist who sculpted the Lincoln Memorial

The Mount: Edith Wharton’s home with beautiful gardens

The Clark: Art museum in Williamstown

Norman Rockwell Museum: Classic museum with the largest collection of original Norman Rockwell art

Naumkeag: Public gardens and historic home

Monument Mountain: Great hiking nearby

Other fun hikes nearby
